Kluender Art 7/8

Art 7/8 students have been learning how to use a grid to help them draw an image. Students are using photos of themselves as subject matter for their artwork.

Last block, we practiced some techniques with drawing using a grid using small photos of celebrities.

Today, we used a ruler to create a 1 inch grid over our photos and on our drawing paper.

Students began their drawings using the gridlines as guides to help them.

They got a great start! They will be so proud of how well they can draw themselves using the grid. We did a "before" portrait that we will compare after the project is complete, so they can see their growth.
